Three of my favourite new features in the Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced Summer '25 release

A look at three of the most exciting new features in the Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced Summer '25 release, and why they matter.

The Salesforce Summer ‘25 release notes have landed, and as always, I’ve spent some time digging through them to find the updates that will make a real difference for marketers.

There’s a lot to take in, but a few features in the Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced suite immediately caught my eye. They aren’t just minor tweaks; they represent significant steps forward in efficiency and effectiveness. Here are three of my favourites and my take on why they’re such a big deal.

AI That Actually Saves You Time (Reporting & Automation)

Let’s be honest, building reports and setting up automation logic can be a time-consuming part of the job. This new feature directly tackles that by allowing you to use natural language to ask Einstein to build a report for you.

But for me, the most exciting part is the enhancement to automation. Einstein can now build and run marketing flows based on its predictions of customer engagement. This is a huge leap from simple trigger-based journeys. It means the AI is doing the heavy lifting to optimize who gets what message and when, all based on smart predictions. In practice, this frees you up from the manual, repetitive work to focus on strategy and creative, which is where marketers provide the most value.

The End of the “Blank Page”: The AI Campaign Designer

We’ve all been there: staring at a blank screen trying to map out the strategy for a new multi-touch campaign. The new Campaign Designer (in beta) is designed to be your AI-powered strategic partner to solve this exact problem.

It can generate entire marketing briefs and the foundational campaign structure itself. The crucial part? It’s grounded in your trusted data. This isn’t a generic AI making things up; it’s using your customer information to build a relevant and coherent plan. You can even point it to an existing campaign to provide more context. This is incredibly valuable for speeding up the time from initial idea to a fully-formed, data-driven campaign strategy, ensuring you get off to the best possible start.

Next-Level Email with True Personalization

Getting the right product in front of the right person in an email is the holy grail of personalization. This update makes it a practical reality by connecting Salesforce Personalization recommendations directly into the email builder.

Using a “repeater” component, you can now drag a block into your email that will dynamically populate with a set of products or content tailored to each individual recipient. Imagine an email that’s less like a static flyer and more like a personal shopper, showing different items to every person on the list based on their unique behaviour. The potential impact on engagement and conversion rates is massive. This turns a standard email campaign into a powerful, one-to-one merchandising tool that can directly drive revenue.
